2023
The Strategist.
After YayPay — the accounts-receivable automation company he co-founded as CTO — was acquired by Quadient, Eugene Vyborov founded Ability.ai in April 2023 with one conviction: applied AI should do real work inside real businesses, not sit in demos. The first product was the Strategist — an AI marketer that turned business context into a working marketing strategy.
2024
The Meta Ads agent.
Around the Strategist grew an autonomous Meta Ads AI-marketing tool: agents for content, media buying, and analytics that ran paid campaigns end-to-end, optimized for ROAS. It found its first 1,000 users and earned Ability.ai a spot on CB Insights' AI Agent Market Map. The company raised a $1.1M pre-seed led by SMRK with SID Venture Partners, and received a $100K equity-free award from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund.
2025
The pivot to solutions.
The pattern across a thousand users was consistent: growing companies don't want another tool to operate — they want the outcome. Ability.ai shifted to building and running production agent solutions for mid-market and enterprise teams, on infrastructure they own. Named a Top 10 Rising Ukrainian Startup.
2026
An applied AI lab.
Building and running those production agent systems for mid-market and enterprise teams surfaced the real problem: the hard part isn't making an agent demo — it's getting a fleet to run unattended, governed, and recoverable, day after day. So Eugene built the answer: Trinity, the open-source (Apache 2.0) production runtime, with Cornelius — the self-improving cognitive core — on top. Then it was proven in the wild. At the Autonomous Business Hackathon by Nevermined in San Francisco, 54 teams had two days to build a business run entirely by AI, with real money on the line. One developer entered alone — he set up 25 agents on Trinity and stepped back, and by Sunday they had found, pitched, and closed 18 paying clients without him. His was one of 18 teams running on Trinity, and together they swept every category: best overall business, top seller, most interconnected network — 2,727 transactions and over $2,400 in revenue, in 48 hours. Today Ability runs its own sales, support, content, and operations on the same systems it ships to clients.

Eugene Vyborov.
Eugene Vyborov is the founder and CEO of Ability.ai and the creator of Trinity — the open-source runtime the company runs its own agent fleet on. He started Ability.ai in April 2023 on one conviction: applied AI should do real work inside real businesses, not sit in demos.
His thesis hasn't changed since: most “AI agents” plateau at planning; the real leverage is architecture — agents with identity, skills, memory, and knowledge that actually ship work. Every week he builds live, from an empty session to a deployed autonomous agent, and publishes the research behind the thesis.
